DLO conducts fundamental, application-oriented and applied research to support the development of sustainable healthy diets and food production. DLO research is organised in research institutes and expertise centres that work together within Wageningen UR and co-operate with national and international universities, research institutes and companies. Three departments of DLO will participate jointly in this project: Bioscience research, Plant Breeding and The Centre for Genetic
Resources, the Netherlands (CGN).

TRAFOON Successful Open Innovation case:

Dirfis Mushrooms in close collaboration with scientists from the University of Hohenheim (Stuttgart) Germany developed dried mushroom products, naturally-enriched with vitamin D in a sustainable way using a innovative solar drying technology.
